PATROL
Patrol Officers are responsible for the day-to-day patrol functions. Patrol Officers respond to calls for service and interact with the public on a daily basis.
BIKE UNIT
Bike Unit Officers patrol in and around Parkchester and respond to calls for service.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS UNIT
Community Affairs Officers play a critical role in the department's approach in working with our community to address quality of life conditions and crime. In partnership with our community, our Community Affairs Officers address issues that are affecting Parkchester by implementing programs such as PEP, RAIN and National Night Out to strengthen community relations.
SPECIAL OPERATIONÂ INVESTIGATIONS UNIT
The Special Operations Unit investigates complaints and crimes that occur on Parkchester property. The unit creates trends, patterns and distributes BOLO'S of perpetrators to help combat crime. The unit works closely with our partners in law enforcement by exchanging and sharing information on criminal activity.
VIPER UNIT
The eye in the sky. The Viper Unit is responsible for conducting video surveillance with over 800 cameras, providing officers with valuable information to assist in patrolling and investigating crimes.
TRAININGÂ UNIT
The Training Unit is the heart of the department. Our Training Unit is responsible for training all officers in skills such as NYS Penal Law, Defensive Tactics, Firearms Training, CPR/FIRST AID/AED, ETC.
DISPATCHERS
Dispatchers play a intricate role in our department as they are the lifeline between the community and the department. They are responsible for receiving calls for service, and dispatching officers to emergency and non-emergency calls. They also ensure the safety and responsibility of personnel on patrol.
CEREMONIAL UNIT
The Ceremonial Unit is a guard of honor for special services in the department. Specializing in drill and ceremony.
